Poem #3
So I missed last night, but I will not give up! On we go…
—–
If a butterfly in brazil, can cause a tornado in Texas…
Think of what I can do.
Every moment, every move
Every action I do
Every decision and choice
Even the sound of my voice
Causes chaos to ensue
From me to you
And then cause is effect, effect is cause
It’s all quite natural until for a moment we pause
And think of each action and it’s effect in turn
And that effects effect, and on and on and we learn
That the slightest of change, the slightest of actions
Can alter our course with the slightest distraction
And in chaos we learn that we have no control
No gaurantee what will be will be what we will
No promise that if we turn here we will still
Go the way we intended
because “around the next corner”
Is so open ended…
As we turn round the bend
A man makes a decision to cross the street
At which point we hit him and our lives there meet
In tragic fashion, but let’s say we slowed down
And at a slower speed miss him and make it around
But soon after turning we come to a stop
Where the man who crossed before us is a cop
Or so we think until he bangs on our glass
Pulls out a gun and asks for money, and fast
There are so many moments which lead to moments and more
that we can never predict or plan what’s in store
Our lives are but chaos, yet order is found
At a distance this chaotic world is quite round
Over time what we think is just one giant mess
Turns out has form and purposefulness*
And out of the darkness, and out of the void
light and beauty, clouds and seas
Children and mountains, and flowers and bees
Giant black pandas, and birds quite exotic
Are all created from organic chaotics

I love it
