Our political system is screwed up

I was just watching CNN, and they were talking about how the election this year could come down to one state, Ohio, even one district.  How can they know that?  It’s really sad if our entire democratic process comes down to one state, and one county.  How is it relevant then what the rest of us think?  It’s even more of a frustrating thought when you think that the place it comes down to is Mid-West White Backwards thinking America where they are stuck in the mid 20th century still letting racism rule their thinking.  There’s something wrong with our system if it really comes down to the most rural areas of America determining who will be president.  It seems like our major cities, where MOST of our people live, should have more weight on the elections.
