Desire is a strange thing
We spend our lives as if behind glass
Hands pressed against it, wide eyed
Our jealous breath blurs the scenes
And nothing’s as it seems
Watching cool kids dance
We stand at a distance dreaming
Listening to singers sing
Our hearts nearly bursting
But our legs are lame, and our lips are locked
Under glass that magnifies
We examine others’ lives
We [...]

… in quite some time . This is my attempt to bring back the poet inside of me.
A COLD DAY IN DECEMBER, 2009
A Cold Day In December, 2009 | Online recorder
Graffiti art
an old brick wall
The cold, the clouds
The smell of fall
Shadows dance
Beneath cream lights
A train is heard
the crows take flight
Crazy words
A broken soul
Sleeping bags
An old [...]

In the darkness your body lay motionless
the subtle blinking of lights illuminates your fragile frame
the blanket slowly rises and falls
the tubes drip, the machines beep
and your soul lies silent in unfortunate surrender
If you dream, you dream of life
For it is always when we have not
That we want most intensely to have
How badly you must want [...]

This floating world
So full of mystery
Formed from chaos
Drifting around and back again
Year after year
Where are we headed?
Who are we, anyway?
Millions of tiny cells
A complex, biological
masterpiece
Fluids and bone,
Gooey organs and a mushy brain
Neurons firing
inaudible orchestras
thoughts
swirling in the nothing of our minds
souls,
it’s no wonder we ask
Who are we?
What a gift it is to wonder
to peel away the [...]

I think, to you
My yelling sounds
like breaking glass
Falling down
A thunderous crash
But my volume knob seems to have broken off
It’s really not a yell, you see
Although I really am angry
But anger has a dual source
Either a selfish annoyance: an impatience
Or an overflow of frustration: a breaking
This anger is of the latter
I think my anger comes like [...]

Staring into lights all day
Makes it hard to enter darkness
Tv screens and monitors
blasting through my retina
And as the sun I don’t see sets
I guess I’m supposed to feel tired
But after a day of chasing Ami around
Strangely, I’m feeling wired
When silence fills the house is when
I begin to wind my mind
To conquer all things digital
On the [...]

I just finished a new song… it should be playing. If not, see the player to the right. It’s called “If War is the Question…”
Please leave me feedback.
[ lyrics ]
How did we become like this
How’d the world lose it’s light
What is causing this darkness
when will we regain our sight?
Have we not learned from the past
Have [...]

The feeling of freedom falls upon this happy heart
Finally.
Thirteen years of torture
I think they call it kindergarten
so you don’t think you’re ending in grade 13
But they can’t fool me anymore
Tomorrow they hand me proof of my intellect
A piece of paper mass produced and a signature copied thousands of times
But the achievement of completion is more [...]

In one evening
You’ve inspired me to try harder
And made me feel like giving up
All in one swift punch
Your creative brilliance
And passion to perform
Made me envy your talents
And I am stuck in limbo between
Inspiration and utter defeat
Your shear intensity
Boiled the room
And everyone was sweating
From the heat of your breath
Pounding down our ears
Shattering our emotional brick walls
Bursting [...]

Regret, how strange thou art
You are like a constantly stinging rash
Worse with each remembrance
You can tear people to shreds
Yet if I am perceptive
I see how vital the actions behind the regret are
In making up the fabric of my current being
So much so, that regret turns to wisdom
And how can you regret gaining wisdom
And so regret [...]
